Thank you to B.C's patient partners!

To all our valued patient partners,

This National Volunteer Week, we want to thank you, our patient partners, for all your hard work and tireless dedication in helping the BC SUPPORT Unit to fulfill our mission: to support the conduct and implementation of high-quality patient-oriented research. Together, we are helping to ensure that health research will make a tangible difference in health care policy and practice. You have provided invaluable inspiration through the innovation and initiative you have shown, and your drive to engage in patient-oriented research is greatly valued.

This year’s theme for National Volunteer Week, ‘It’s time to applaud this country’s volunteers’ could not be more fitting, as many volunteers (yourselves included) ask how they can be part of needed solutions, and answer the call to assist, in response to COVID-19. This challenging time has made us even more keenly aware of the value of community, and we are so grateful that you are part of ours.

For more information on the BC SUPPORT Unit’s COVID-19 response, including where to find updates from your local health authority, the Province of B.C., and the Government of Canada we welcome you to visit our COVID-19 announcements page here.

On behalf of the BC SUPPORT Unit family, thank you again for all you do – you, your family, friends, and colleagues are all in our thoughts. Stay safe!

Sincerely,

Minnie Downey
