9:00am - 5:00pm
Quality Forum 2020 is a three-day event, with pre-Forum events taking place on Tuesday, February 25 and its main two days of programming taking place on Wednesday, February 26 and Thursday, February 27, 2020.
The Forum is organized by the BC Patient Safety & Quality Council. We provide system-wide leadership to efforts designed to improve the quality of health care in British Columbia. Through collaborative partnerships with health authorities, patients, and those working within the health care system, we promote and inform a provincially-coordinated, patient-centred approach to quality. We also provide advice and make recommendations to the Minister of Health.
We also provide a bridge to the best knowledge in health care quality available across Canada and beyond. We seek out national and international partnerships that provide knowledge and insights of value to BC, adapt these new ideas to meet the needs of our health care system, and work with our partners to put them in place.
Main Two Days
The main two days will feature presentations and interactive workshops on a variety of topics related to improving quality across the continuum of care. You can look forward to a mix of content that was suggested by past participants and the event’s Steering Committee, as well as presentations and storyboards chosen though our Call for Abstracts.
Participants will also have the opportunity to travel on field trip, so that they can learn lessons from other industries that are applicable to health care. Plenary presentations, a debate and a storyboard reception will bring participants together to learn, to be entertained, and to be inspired.
All told, Quality Forum 2020 will be a great opportunity to learn new skills and strategies, discuss opportunities and challenges, and network with others interested in improving health care in British Columbia.
