Patient partners as peer reviewers: Getting started

Are you a patient partner curious about learning how to participate as a peer reviewer for funding agencies’ grant programs? Then this webinar is for you! This is part of a two-webinar series developed primarily by patient partners. The other webinar is Research teams with patient partners: Collaborating on grant writing. These webinars will be recorded and available on the BC SUPPORT Unit’s YouTube channel.

Upon completion of this webinar, you will be able to:

  1. Define patient-oriented research and lived experience
  2. Understand the elements of patient peer review in patient-oriented research grant proposals
  3. Understand how to work collaboratively to participate in patient peer review in patient-oriented research grant proposals
  4. Connect with a community of patient partner mentors and professionals who can provide more information
